It's time to Spring into another exciting BAPVA Meeting.

This month we stick with sound and focus in on capturing audio during a live event. We welcome one of the best Bay Area Wedding DJs, Mr. Ron Grandia to show us the ins and outs of capturing audio during a live event. Ron will be setting up his gear, showing us the best ways for videographers to patch in and giving some tips and tricks on live event audio acquisition. Our very own James Burkart and Matthieu Meynier will follow showing how they capture audio specific to a DSLR production work flow. Lastly, we will stick with last month's theme and allow a round table session for members to show off their favorite audio production gear and ask and answer questions.

Next month is going to be our annual SUPER MEETING. Adobe will once again host the meeting at their Park Room Auditorium in San Jose. We are flying in Konrad Czystowski, all the way from Ontario, Canada. Konrad is an amazing wedding cinematographer who has really made a name for himself in the last year after leaving Stillmotion and starting his own company. Adobe will start the evening off with a session on editing techniques and will also be raffling off a  CS5 Production Premium Suite to one lucky winner. I am still working on more exciting details for the evening, so stay tuned as this will be a meeting you won't want to miss.

Finally, we welcome Jim Snow as the newest BAPVA Board Member. Jim will be taking on the role of Marketing Director. He will be responsible for marketing the association to new members, perspective clients looking to hire videographers and managing sponsors and industry professionals who support BAPVA. We still have the Membership Director role open on the board. If any current members, who have been members for more than a year, are interested in this role, please contact Oren Arieli.
