Fall is here and with it brings another great BAPVA meeting.

This month we focus on alternatives to traditional video production and look at Real Estate Videos. Our very own Ted Banucci will be our featured presenter.

This month's meeting will be at the Sonoma Chicken Coop Restaurant near the San Jose Airport. After Ted's presentation we will hold an informal Gear Show-n-Tell. So make sure to bring your favorite gadgets and be prepared to explain why you think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

We will hold our last meeting of the year on November 14th. It will also be our last Member Exhibition. This will be your last chance to compete for the coveted Videographer of the Year award. We are going to limit everyone to (1) one 4 minute video.

Program #1: Real Estate Video Production
Ted Banucci - The Last Cut

Ted Banucci
Is your brain hurting from trying to come up with a creative way to edit footage of making your bridezilla look good? Are you struggling to make money from Monday-Friday when there are no weddings to shoot? Are you pretty much dead out of money in the winter, when events aren't happening? Do you want to expand your business with more employees but don't have enough work for them year-round? Real estate video may be a great add-on for your business!

Property videos, prop-vids, home tours, virtual tours, realty movies... real estate videos go by a lot of names, but they all have a similar function... to sell a property! Ted Banucci, of The Last Cut will tell you the in's and out's of not only WHY you should get into the real estate video business, but HOW to create real estate video, and even more importantly, how to sell and market them.

This session will include:

  • Actual pricing scenarios
  • How to interact with Realtors
  • Creative options to up-sell
  • Using real estate videos to sell your business
  • How you should give the final product to your customer
  • How to get the video to the right places on the web
  • And of course, how to film and edit the videos.

You'll learn a lot from this session, bring your iPads and pencils, but don't use them together!

Ted Banucci founded The Last Cut in 2003, returning back to his film production roots after a 10-year diversion in Information Technology. After a suggestion from his wife, a Realtor, Ted found a niche product in the uncharted area of property video tours. The popularity of these home video tours among his clients allowed Ted to move away from event videos, and grow his corporate videos as well from Realtor referrals. Ted also shares a stake in camarush.com, a helmet camera retailer and creators of the camalapse, as well as other accessories.

While creating new business ventures is his hobby, Ted's full-time passion is enjoying time with his wife and two kids.

Program #2: Gear Show-and-Tell
Bring Your Favorite Gadget!

Bring your favorite piece of gear or gadget to show off and talk about. Also if you have something you want to sell, you can use this time to try and sell it. Either way, please bring one item to the meeting and be prepared to explain why it's the best thing on this planet for video production.
